We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial, municipal, and industrial building projects. The Superintendent will oversee daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors and self-performed work, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and schedule.
The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with experience managing subcontractor-driven commercial construction projects and coordinating multiple trades.
Lead daily field operations and manage overall site logistics.
Coordinate subcontractors, crews, and trade sequencing.
Oversee self-performed scopes such as concrete, utilities, earthwork, and site work.
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
Coordinate structural, architectural, and MEP trades.
Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts.
Conduct daily planning and subcontractor coordination meetings.
Maintain daily reports, schedules, and field documentation.
Enforce jobsite safety, quality, and company standards.
Inspect work and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Coordinate inspections and maintain project readiness.
Work closely with Project Managers on schedule, cost, and project execution.
Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, quality, safety, and performance.
Support project closeout and resolution of field issues.
5+ years of commercial or building construction experience.
Proven experience leading field operations on commercial construction projects.
Strong subcontractor and trade coordination experience.
Experience coordinating structural, architectural, and MEP trades.
Experience with self-performed concrete, utilities, earthwork, or site work preferred.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field production.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong safety and quality-control knowledge.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
Strong accountability and subcontractor management skills.
Structural concrete experience.
Municipal/public facility construction.
Industrial or manufacturing facility construction.
Commercial building construction.
Design-build or negotiated projects.
HCSS or similar daily reporting systems.
GPS machine control.
Site development, utilities, or earthwork experience.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader who is organized, proactive, safety-focused, and comfortable managing subcontractors. They should have strong experience with commercial building construction, trade coordination, scheduling, site logistics, and field production, rather than primarily residential or tenant-finish experience.
