Job Summary: Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate Therapist / Therapist Associate to provide behavioral health services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions.The ideal candidate will have experience providing individual and group therapy, conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Location: Wasilla, Alaska

Setting: Behavioral Health / Substance Use Treatment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments, screenings, and clinical evaluations.

• Develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.

• Manage an assigned client caseload and monitor progress.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions.

• Utilize CBT and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Complete utilization reviews and clinical documentation accurately and on time.

• Coordinate community referrals and support continuity of care.

• Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary treatment team members.

• Participate in staff education, training, and onboarding activities as needed.

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable behavioral health confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Alaska license or eligible credential as an ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC, or LPCC.

• Experience working with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions preferred.

• Strong knowledge and practical application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy.

• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.

• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

• Valid Alaska driver's license and clean driving record required.

• Must meet applicable health and employment requirements.
