Our client is seeking an experienced U.S. Sales Manager to expand its presence within the American laboratory and scientific equipment market. This is a hands-on sales leadership opportunity for a professional who understands the laboratory industry, has strong channel relationships, and can develop new business through distributors, dealers, and end users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing an established sales network while identifying new channel partners and developing strategic relationships throughout the United States. This position combines individual sales responsibilities with oversight of an existing sales professional.
Develop and expand sales across the U.S. laboratory equipment and scientific products market.
Strengthen relationships with existing distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
Identify and recruit qualified new distributors and dealers in targeted markets.
Develop opportunities from initial prospecting through negotiation and order conversion.
Build relationships with laboratory consultants, planners, architects, contractors, and other industry stakeholders.
Generate new business through networking, industry contacts, customer visits, and channel development.
Support and manage an existing sales representative responsible for direct customer accounts.
Establish sales objectives and monitor progress against business targets.
Collaborate with technical, operations, and company leadership teams to move opportunities toward completion.
Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, distributor meetings, and customer events.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on opportunities and market activity.
Identify market trends and potential areas for expansion within the U.S. laboratory sector.
Travel throughout the United States to meet customers, partners, and prospects as required.
Proven sales experience selling laboratory equipment, scientific equipment, laboratory furniture, fume hoods, biosafety equipment, or related products.
Established relationships with U.S. laboratory equipment distributors, dealers, or channel partners.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing distributor or dealer networks.
Strong understanding of the U.S. laboratory, scientific, life sciences, or research market.
Proven track record of generating new business and expanding existing accounts.
Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage a sales professional while remaining actively involved in personal business development.
Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote/field-based environment.
Strong commercial judgment and ability to identify viable sales opportunities.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Experience with one or more of the following is highly relevant:
Laboratory equipment
Laboratory furniture and casework
Laboratory safety equipment
Fume hoods
Biosafety cabinets
Scientific equipment
Laboratory containment systems
Life science equipment
Research laboratory products
Cleanroom or controlled-environment equipment
Our client is looking for a relationship-driven, highly proactive sales professional who already understands how the U.S. laboratory market operates.
The strongest candidates will bring an established network of laboratory distributors or dealers, a history of opening new accounts, and the ability to personally drive opportunities from prospecting through close.
This is not a purely administrative sales-management position. The successful candidate will be expected to actively sell, develop new channels, maintain strategic relationships, and lead by example.
Regular travel within the United States is expected for customer meetings, distributor visits, trade shows, industry events, and business development activities.
Our client offers a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, uncapped performance-based commissions, and additional incentives tied to business development and sales leadership.
Comprehensive product and technical training will be provided, along with marketing and sales support.
