Vice President of Sales

Position Overview

The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for maximizing sales revenue and net profit through repeat, long-term, and scalable business growth.

This is a hands-on individual contributor sales role focused on identifying, cultivating, and closing new business. The VP of Sales will own the sales process and manage customer relationships from initial prospecting through close and ongoing account management, working closely with internal teams to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Source and develop inbound and outbound leads across a variety of platforms and channels.

  • Hunt and develop new business across industries including:

    • Retail distribution

    • Consumer electronics

    • Apparel and fashion

    • Games and toys

    • Other relevant consumer product sectors

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue prospects that align with the company's Ideal Client Profile.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers and key business partners.

  • Drive new customer acquisition and generate measurable revenue growth.

Sales & Account Management

  • Own the sales process from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, and account management.

  • Oversee key accounts and develop long-term customer relationships.

  • Work through pricing, scope, objections, and commercial terms to drive opportunities to close.

  • Manage contract negotiations and ensure alignment between customer requirements and business objectives.

  • Develop repeat, long-term, and scalable revenue opportunities.

Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Establish clear sales goals and objectives aligned with overall business strategy.

  • Work closely with operations and other internal departments to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies and customer commitments.

  • Analyze financial and sales performance and adjust strategies to meet revenue and profitability objectives.

  • Analyze market data and identify actionable opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field required.

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience selling logistics and warehouse services is required for this position.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales and marketing.

  • At least 5 years of leadership-level experience within the logistics or transportation industry.

  • Proven track record of winning new customers and generating measurable revenue.

  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Third-party logistics (3PL)

    • Warehouse costing

    • Transportation tenders

    • Contract negotiation

  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools.

  • Familiarity with data analytics and using market data to drive sales decisions.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
